Back to School Sales!

Gosh, I feel like all I blog about are sales lately :)

Were you like me and stocked up at Teachers Pay Teachers?  I went heavily on clip art!  I know at some point I'll be using it :)  Hopefully soon, I'll be posting some new library products!

However, if you didn't get a chance to stock up, or didn't find what you were looking for, here's your next chance!

Teacher's Notebook is having a huge sale and, like TPT, are offering an extra 10% off shop sales.  My entire shop will be discounted 25%, and then you get an extra 10%....plus there are drawings and prizes!

So the sale runs August 9-12.  Our first day with kids is the 13th, so I might be purchasing some last minute items myself!  Happy shopping!

Christmas In July!

I've been hard at work getting ready for my new life as a Library Media Specialist!  I've been working on a "We're Wild for Reading" for a year theme to start off our year in the library.  I also want to do different themes for each month of the year.  Recently, though, my focus has been on combining my 16 years of classroom into the library (and yes, I have purged purged purged and shared!!!).  The next thing on the list is to clean up the library (shelves, decorating, etc) and then work on lesson plans, themed centers for PK-5, and....well, that's probably enough considering school starts August 13!!!!!!

So, how are you getting ready for school?  Walmart and Teacher's Notebook want to help you out!  Keep reading below (and I promise I will be sharing more soon!).

Teacher's Notebook is doing a special promotion that starts THIS Friday!  I'm joining in with my entire store being discounted 25% off!

Another great deal....if you haven't heard about it already....is through Walmart.

This is from their site:
BENTONVILLE, Ark. – July 21, 2014 – For the first time ever, Walmart is offering teachers across the country 10 percent savings on classroom supplies. The retailer announced the teacher-exclusive savings event as data shows 53 percent of teachers received less in funding last year. Walmart has donated more than $20 million to U.S. educators in the last five years.
Teachers who shop at Walmart stores during its Teacher Appreciation Week, July 25 to 31, are eligible to receive a Walmart eGift Card for 10 percent back on nearly 15,000 products – everything from pencils and glue to classroom décor.
“On average, teachers around the country spend about $1,000 readying their classrooms, and half of that comes from reaching into their own wallets to make sure students have what they need,” said Steve Bratspies, executive vice president, general merchandise for Walmart U.S. “We’ve had a commitment to supporting teachers in the communities we serve for many years. This program is one more way we’re helping lessen the cost, increase support and set teachers up for success.”
The savings process for teachers is simple:
  • Shop Walmart stores for classroom supplies.
  • Visit www.walmart.com/teachers by August 15 to register receipts by entering teacher’s school information and receipt transaction code.
  • Savings on eligible items from select departments* will be delivered on a Walmart eGift card via email within 14 days of submitting the receipt online.

Feeling Appreciated (with a few sales!)

Are you celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week?  Our PTA is treating us to breakfast on Monday and a special dinner on Thursday.  My favorite, though, will be "Funnel Cake Friday!"  Yeah, THIS is why I can't diet during the school year! :)

Well, it seems that Teacher's Notebook as well as Teachers Pay Teachers are also showing some love.  Each site is throwing a huge sale where you get an extra % off your total purchase.  Tack that onto sales shops are throwing, and you can easily clean out that wish list!

I've discounted my shop on TpT to 20% (the max), so please go check out some of the recent bundles I've created, as well as my measurement activities!  I have the same on Teacher's Notebook (which are 25% off.....sorry die-hard TpTers...but TN lets us do that!).  My stores are practically identical, so if you're a member of both websites.....

Click on the links below to head to the sites and use the special codes....you can also click on the links to the site to take you directly to my shop!

Teachers Notebook is upping it one more by also sponsoring a contest where you could win an iPad, Google Nexus tablet, and gift certificates as well!  Click on the link below to enter.  Good luck and happy shopping! :)

Hop On Over to the Easter Sale!

I'm jumping on the bandwagon with other TpT sellers and hosting an Easter Sale!  My entire store will be 20% off Sunday and Monday.  I'm also linking up with Teaching Momster for a sale linky, so you can see which stores are participating!

Some of my newest products, you've seen in my previous posts.  However, I've been busy this Spring Break and have added a few more!

I've added a Reference Bundle to join with my "Virginia SOL Map Skills" bundle.  Some of the items included in the reference bundle are:

There's also "Underwater ABC Order", "Using An Atlas", "How Do You Web?", and "Dictionary Detective."  The set is $5.00 for right now (a total value of $8.00), but as I add to it, the price will go up.  This would be an excellent buy now because you'd get it on sale, plus anything I add to it will be a free download for you!  I saw another buyer do this idea, and thought how cool the idea was!  I plan on doing a few more bundles as well!

I've also added a packet for this set of books here:

I at first ordered them from Scholastic a long time ago, thinking I'd use them for fluency readers.  I've since moved on from that thinking and decided how great they would go in one of my centers about vowels or word building!  I did a similar single sheet for the Star Wars set, but will revise that and add it to my store when I'm finished (that might be on my summer to do list!).  Students not only word hunt, but there is a comprehension component to each story as well.  Who doesn't love Scooby? :)

A few of my favorites:

Super Sales!

What a weekend coming up!

First, the groundhog will (hopefully) NOT see his shadow, and we'll have an early Spring!  We're at the point that we used up our 10 days, and now we have to add on to the end of the school year (our days are lengthening by 20 minutes starting Monday) if we miss any more days. Boo hiss!

Then, of course, we have the other part of "Super Sunday."  My husband's in heaven because 1) UVA has a game that day and 2) coverage for the BIG game starts at 11am!  Yikes!  I mean, how many times can we analyze what these teams have done in one season?  Sorry, I'm not the biggest football fan!

Our first "Super Sale" comes from Teacher's Notebook.  My store is 40% off EVERYTHING and of course, they'll give you an extra 10% on top of that, as well as a special sweepstakes!  Gotta love it!

If you're not a Teacher's Notebook shopper, you can head over to Teachers Pay Teachers!  I found this linkup here for awesome resources marked just $1!

With the sale, here are some of my items that are marked at 80 cents!

Billy and the Magic String

 Button Button....Identifying Attributes

Candy Cane Counting: Place Value to Tens and Hundreds

 Clink Clank...What's In My Bank?

I'm also hooking up with Enriching Kinders to promote our sale on TpT on our ENTIRE stores for 20% off!  Being second grade, I have students that benefit from Kindergarten and first grade materials, so I'm always on the lookout! Definitely check her out on Instagram - she always has the coolest ideas!

Here are some of her awesome products!

 COUNT THE ROOM: BUTTERFLY THEME

MAKING SENSE OF CENTS: MY MONEY BOOK
 SIGHT WORD DETECTIVES
I Have, Who Has? Dino Numbers 0-20

 Arctic Tallies Pack
Be sure to check out the sales!  Click on any of the pictures to take you to the stores!  Please be sure to show the love and become a follower! :)  Happy shopping!

Thanksgiving Blessings and Cyber Sales!

First, I wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!  I know that I'm blessed to have a job, a family in relatively good health and happiness, a home, and love. It's not something I know we always reflect on, but after spending time with my students having them list things they are thankful for, it puts it into perspective!

This week, we were full of turkey projects!  We created turkeys for skip counting, turkeys to show our thanks, and turkey glyphs!  I told my students that their parents are going to think I'm in love with turkeys!!!  But turkeys are so much fun, and you can do so much with the feathers!  I know I've created two packs of turkey projects - one on skip counting, and the other on place value!

We also did one of my favorite projects - turkey calls!  Years ago, I talked to the Wild Turkey Federation at our State Fair, and came away with a very cool teacher kit!  Since then, I've always done a turkey study and we create turkey calls from plastic cups, twine, and a toothpick.  Very simple, easy, and the kids love it!  Last year I paired it with a powerpoint with photographs of turkeys.

Living where we do, I know we often see wild turkeys crossing the road or in fields.  They like to hang out in my neighborhood since we don't allow hunting!  However, it's nice to add the education for the kids as well!

Last but not least, SALES!

My Teachers Notebook store is on sale for 50% off - every product - until next Wednesday, December 4th.

Teachers Pay Teachers is also sponsoring a "Cyber Sale" on Monday and Tuesday. I'm also offering 20% off my store to make it 28% off!

160 × 200

I know I'm stocking up on my wishlist items!  I'm sure there will be a linky out there somewhere about what you buy! :)  I'm also hoping to score a Kindle for my daughter for Christmas, so I'm actually going out Thanksgiving Day to Staples at 8pm.  I worked too long in retail to do the "6am" thing on Black Friday, but I think I can handle 8pm.  Wish me luck! :)
